  • Monday 12th February 2007 :: The most beautiful gardens in France, a completely new website

The owners and managers of the gardens of Chenonceau, la Bambouseraie, Breteuil, the Manoir d'Eyrignac, Vaux le Vicomte, Villandry and those of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild have created the website of the Most Beautiful Gardens in France to spread the reputation of these exceptional sites within an association called “The most beautiful gardens in France”.

From now on the Internet site The Most Beautiful Gardens in France has become the reference site for the art of the garden in France. It offers virtual visits to these different gardens, outlines all the activities they organize and provides links to all their services illustrated by pictograms.

The Most Beautiful Gardens in France are just at the beginning of their adventure, as they are set to welcome all the privately managed gardens which meet their very strict specifications. Enthusiasts about the gardens are invited to join the Association The Most Beautiful Gardens in France (currently undergoing formation) by putting forward their application to the founding members: François Henri de Breteuil (Château de Breteuil); Henri Carvallo (Villandry); Muriel Nègre (la Bambouseraie); Bruno Monnier Culturespaces; Villa Ephrussi de Rotschild; Michael Petijean (Chenonceau); Patrick Sermadiras de Pouzols de Lile (Les jardins du Manoir d'Eyrignac)

This site will bring together the elite of gardens... which represent excellence in the art of the garden in France, and welcome more than 3 million visitors every year.
Joining fee: after unanimous acceptance by the founder members: 1,500 Euros
    Annual subscription: 500 Euros
