10.15am – 10.30am: ‘The origins of the Vallon du Dragon’ Muriel Nègre, President of the Bambouseraie.
10.30am – 11.15am: ‘The wisdom of Oriental gardens’ – the spiritual and historical context of the creation of Japanese gardens by Alix Audurier-Cros, Emeritus Professor of Architecture and former researcher at the Artopos and ARTDevUMR5281 CNRS laboratories.
11.30am – 12.10pm: ‘Japanese gardens in Europe: the European Japanese Garden Association, its objectives and actions for 2024/2025’ Jean Pierre Chavassieux, President of EuroJGA (European Japanese Garden Association).
12.10pm – 12.50pm: ‘The Japanese garden in the art of manga’, Aurelien Pigeat Professor of Modern Literature, Doctor of French Literature and Language, member of the ACBD, former deputy editor-in-chief of ActuaBD.com
12.50pm – 2pm: Shared lunch (brought by participants)
2.00 pm – 3.00 pm: ‘Working with Erik Borja, sharing passion and art’: round-table discussion with Jean-Michel, Alice and Frederic Borja (Chairman and members of the Board), Loïc and Stephanie Belviso (Head Gardener and in charge of reception and communications), from the ‘Jardin Zen ERIK BORJA’. Loïc and Stephanie Belviso assisted Eric Borja in creating the Dragon Valley.
3.00 pm – 4.30 pm: Tour of the ‘Vallon du Dragon’ with commentary by the Bambouseraie team and Loïc Belviso, Erik Borja’s gardener.
5.00 pm: End of the day
