Every year, the Centre d’Arts et de Nature du Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire invites internationally renowned artists, visual artists and photographers to create original works on the theme of nature. Spread over the 32 hectares of the estate, the works of art created are the fruit of a genuine encounter between the artists and the spirit of the place, offering visitors an initiatory journey rich in discovery, surprises and emotion.

SPECIAL COMMISSIONS FROM THE CENTRE-VAL DE LOIRE REGION
Initiated in 2008, the three-yearly commissions foster a dialogue between heritage and contemporary art. The specially commissioned works form part of a visitor’s itinerary, often going so far as to take over new spaces that were previously inaccessible to the public.

PERMANENT INSTALLATIONS
Installed in the park, the Château and its outbuildings, the works are specifically designed for the site and give the impression that they have always been there. Indeed, some of them remain. The pleasure of the tour is as much in the newness as in the reunion with some of the works from previous seasons.

Once upon a time… Carried away by the theme of the Festival International des Jardins, the Saison d’art 2025 has plenty of assets to fire the imagination. Through symbols and metaphors, the tale, like the work of art, highlights deep emotions while tackling contemporary issues. The programme is an invitation to reflect and marvel, and to embark on a journey of surprising discoveries. Not all the artists invited to take part in the show will be transmitting on the same frequency, but each of them will be leaving something to the invisible, to energy and to surprise.
