garden\u2019s history began after the Second World War, in 1948, when Eric Pellerin, a perfumer and sailor, together with his wife Nicole, decided to give the cow pasture adjoining the thousand-year-old castle a completely different destiny. Then begins an extraordinary botanical adventure and a family history. Guillaume Pellerin et son \u00e9pouse Cl\u00e9oph\u00e9e de Turckheim reprennent \u00e0 partir des ann\u00e9es 1980 le flambeau, qu\u2019ils transmettent ensuite \u00e0 leur second fils Eric en 2017.<br \/>\u00c0 Vauville, le principal d\u00e9fi est d\u2019offrir aux esp\u00e8ces provenant des antipodes, les conditions favorables \u00e0 un nouvel enracinement. Une s\u00e9lection de plantes robustes plant\u00e9es en masse en lisi\u00e8re du jardin a permis de cr\u00e9er des haies brise-vent et un \u00e9crin propice au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une collection de plantes d\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Sud, d\u2019Afrique, d\u2019Asie, de Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande ou de Tasmanie\u2026<br \/>Le jardin botanique de Vauville s\u2019inscrit dans une tradition d\u2019acclimatation de plantes exotiques rapport\u00e9es en Europe par des explorateurs et des botanistes partis en voyages dans des contr\u00e9es lointaines. Ces sp\u00e9cimens rares ont un statut de \u00ab curiosit\u00e9s \u00bb, ils sont recherch\u00e9s pour leur int\u00e9r\u00eat botanique, parfois m\u00e9dical, \u00e9galement pour leurs qualit\u00e9s esth\u00e9tiques \u2013 couleurs, \u00e9corces, feuillages, port -, en cela, les plantes et les arbres sont vus comme des objets d\u2019art, mais surtout, ils v\u00e9hiculent l\u2019imaginaire de l\u2019ailleurs.<br \/>L\u2019esprit du jardin botanique de Vauville est d&#8217;\u00eatre un jardin en mouvement. It is regularly enriched by its successors. In addition to its scientific diversity, all the plants constitute a magnificent palette of shades of green in the foliage of trees and evergreen shrubs, to which the soft or shimmering hues of the blossoms are mixed: amaryllis, echiums pininana, libertia, callistemons, rhododendrons , hydrangeas, pseudopanax, southern cordylins, trachycarpus, strelitzias, eucalyptus, yuccas, bamboos, cistus, anigozanthos, tree ferns, jasmines, edychiums, camellias, fig trees &#8230;  <\/p>\n<p>The Botanical Garden of Vauville has been listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments since 1992, classified as a Remarkable Garden since 2004, member since 2018 of BGCI (Botanic Gardens Conservation International) but also \u201cPartner Garden\u201d of the Royal Horticultural Society. It is sponsored by the Jardin des Plantes de Rouen in order to be approved \u201cBotanical Garden of France\u201d. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
