Candlelit Evenings
Every Saturday from 16 May to 26 September 2026, as well as on 13 July
Vaux-le-Vicomte invites visitors to rediscover this 17th-century masterpiece by the flickering light of two thousand candles, illuminating the château and the French formal garden. A refined, romantic dinner, water features in the ponds and a champagne bar round off this delightful, timeless evening. A fireworks display in shades of gold and silver will bring the evening to a close.
Candlelit Evenings: an enchanting event not to be missed!
The first castle, since 1980, to offer nighttime visits by candlelight, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte offers a dreamlike and unique experience :From 5:30 p.m., the visit to the castle in subdued light and at nightfall the gardens illuminated by numerous candles!
Rediscover the 33 hectares of French formal gardens designed by Le Nôtre, the marvellous architecture of Le Vau and the sumptuous paintings of Le Brun, all bathed in the flickering light of 2,000 candles… Spend an evening reliving some of the magic of the famous celebration of 17 August 1661.
A refined romantic dinner, water games in the pools, champagne bar and fireworks complete this delicious, timeless evening.
