In 2023, the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire established its Arts and Nature Think Tank to articulate the convictions and commitments that underpin all its activities and, more broadly, to foster a dynamic and create synergies capable of contributing to a positive transformation of our societies. The Conversations under the Tree provide an opportunity for collective and unconventional reflection. They aim to open up avenues towards a better balance between the various elements of nature of which we are a part, and to enrich their collaboration. In 2026, these gatherings will explore new themes designed to highlight the importance of our natural environment and the connections we have with it. Without ever forgetting to celebrate its beauty.

Participants are welcomed on Thursday late morning at the Bois des Chambres. The opening of the Conversations sous l’arbre is celebrated in a friendly atmosphere with a communal lunch. At 2.30 pm, the first speaker is invited to address the group, followed by a discussion. After a mid-afternoon break, there is a second talk and a chance to explore the estate’s exhibitions. As night falls, dinner is served at Le Grand Chaume. The following day, the third Conversation begins at 9.30 am, followed by a meeting with an artist at 11 am. The early afternoon is devoted to a round-table discussion bringing together guests and participants. This is followed by a book-signing session. The Conversations sous l’arbre then draw to a close over light refreshments.
