Roses and Plants Festival

Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May 2026

The Rose Garden is a must-see from the Belle Époque for garden enthusiasts. Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild gave it a place of honour to the south of the Villa, making the Rose Garden the ‘bow’ of the ship she envisioned for the gardens of the Villa Île-de-France, like a flower-covered spur between the harbour of Villefranche and the Baie des Fourmis.

It is through this flower that, over the course of a weekend, we bring to life the passion of Béatrice, who is both a keen gardener and deeply in love with roses.

As we welcome horticulturists, rose growers and nursery owners who have come to share their passion with you and advise you on their finest creations, we also offer:

– Discover the nine gardens designated as ‘Jardins Remarquables’ by the Ministry of Culture
– Enjoy a garden fair in the French-style garden, as well as a programme of activities for all ages: children’s workshops led by the gardening team, and themed tours co-led by the head gardener and the collections department.

A jewel of the Belle Époque, the Villa and its gardens are transformed for the occasion into a venue for concerts, performances and exhibitions, providing an exceptional setting for exhibitors, craftspeople and artists.

Un lieu unique où le végétal, la mer et la lumière interagissent au fil des heures, des saisons et des nuages.
